the best thingsPosted by bekkah (Pennsylvania, United States) on 3 November 2009 in Miscellaneous and Portfolio. They say the best things come in 'little blue boxes', but I beg to differ...there's no way my new speedlight would fit in one of those. Good thing my husband knows to spoil me with big gold and black boxes instead! ;) I've been enjoying playing around with my new toy :)

john4jack from Corvallis, Oregon, United StatesCongratulations. If you have a camera that has Commander mode, be sure to get the flash off of the camera. 3 Nov 2009 3:14pm @john4jack: Thanks for the tip! To be honest, I haven't even cracked open the manual yet, but I'm looking forward to it :) don from spokane, United StatesA fine shot of your new addition to your camera collection! Flash can be used so many ways. Nice to share with us. 3 Nov 2009 4:04pm Cricket-TammyWarren from somewhere, United StatesWonderful story to go along with a new toy! I love the color of the blue box up against the dark color of the flash. 3 Nov 2009 4:53pm mirela from brighton, United Statesawesome, guess who's envying you the most??? :) 3 Nov 2009 10:15pm John from Geneva, United StatesNeat shot. I love the close up of the red sensor unit. If you have a chance, try it again while getting the sensor unit to flicker. Not familiar with Nikon stuff (hell, I'm still learning the Canon stuff after years of trying!) so no idea how to set it off. 4 Nov 2009 1:29am @John: that's an interesting assignment, I'll have to look into it :) Nothing says "I love you" like a brandy new wide angle lens (if you're out there honey...hint, hint!!!!!!)!! Anina from Auckland, New ZealandCool! Very nice gift! You lucky girl :) Enjoy your new 'toy' :) 4 Nov 2009 7:03am Sarito from Basingstoke, United Kingdomooohh some one has got new toy :). Great shot. 4 Nov 2009 9:12am bekkah from Pennsylvania, United StatesThank you!!! I still have to figure out all the settings on it, but it's made indoor shots SO much easier already. I was getting so much blur before, I assumed it was my lack of ability (which still might have something to do with it!!), but it's looking like it was more so due to the lack of LIGHT :) 4 Nov 2009 4:25pm David Nos from Barcelona, SpainVery original picture!! I wish you enjoy your new toy!! :) 10 Nov 2009 1:44pm @David Nos: Thank you very much! |
